Rick Loughery serves as Director, Environmental Activities, at the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), the association of U.S. shareholder-owned electric companies, international affiliates and industry associates worldwide. His current work responsibilities focus on the siting, permitting, and maintenance of electric power lines and generation facilities. His areas of expertise include rights-of-way vegetation management, avian power line interactions,  cultural resources, endangered species, public involvement, public lands, wetlands, utility land management, and electric & magnetic fields. Rick serves as the staff for the Avian Power Line Interaction Committee (APLIC). He received a B.A. in American History and an M.P.A. in Environmental Policy from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN.
